"But it worked yesterday." That sentence I despise the most? Why? People are compelled to believe that nothing in life, ever breaks down. It's not possible in their minds. I wish I can find unbreakable stuff because I am spending a lot of money on things that eventually break down. For example, if I try to fix a computer issue for someone because they have been running various programs on the computer and not knowing how it works and lo and behold:
This is a very good case. They are running maybe a computer that came out when their kid was born and now their kid is graduating college, had downloaded 2,000 viruses which ultimately killed the computer. Of course, no one keeps the CDs anymore, if the computer came with it. Some of the computer companies decided to put it on the same hard drive as if your hard drive will never die to save $10 on a CD. You explain the issue and tell them they need a computer. In disbelief, they then go and say,
I am not sure what compels people to say this. It's like they tell you this as if it's a validation of it not being broken. If that was the case, then I should have a full bank account since I got paid yesterday, my car should never stop working since it drove just fine yesterday, meat being left outside in the boiling sun near bugs should be great for consumption since it was perfectly fine being purchased on the day prior. When I hear these words, "It worked yesterday", a sudden rage come inside of me I feel that makes me want to go crazy. I tried to hold it in. I try REALLY hard not to let it go.....
On the inside, I have snapped into a mad rage like never before.....
If only I could. Instead, I bang my head on the desk multiple times and wonder why.
This is my mini rant of things that annoy me for today. Until next time.
