The Difference Between an Honest Opinion and Being Mean

I feel like I have to make this blog only for the simple fact that it is a very common problem with society today. A lot of people take a honest opinion and label it mean. For some reason, in some people's minds, if you don't agree with them 100%, you must be mean. It can be as simple as an outfit they are wearing to something crazy like trying to climb the Eiffel tower. It tends to start off with a bragging:

Case in point here. She is talking about how "awesome" her obviously ugly hat and bragging about it. Normally, a person would want give a warning to their friend or relative to prevent embarrassment in the future.

I seriously believe if they hear an once of disagreement, a rage button pops on their head because you actually had gave thought to their question and not give an automatic yes to their question. In that case rage mode is on.

In some ways, if you know that the person will go in a range, sometimes it's better to laugh about it.

But being mean comes with consequences......

Sadly, the best thing you can ever do is to bite your tongue and agree. Even though it's a lie, it is most of the time the safest bet.
